Some of our work
Background
The Vitalcue brand covers a range of basic medical industry supplies intended for release in selected middle eastern markets. The launch range covers core products like bandages and dressings, with a selection of ancillary items such as adhesive tape and wound coverings.
The new brand is owned by worcue, a medical device company known for it’s forward thinking approach to bringing innovative products to the healthcare sector. Our brief was to come up with a strong product name and brand identity for the range, create visual standard guidelines, then design bags, packaging and flyers in line with the new look.

Challenge
In a market dominated by several firmly established international competitors, it was important to differentiate vitalcue from other products on the shelves and make it stand out from the crowd. The local medical supplies industry can by nature be quite conservative in it’s approach to branding and marketing, which adds some tacit restrictions on the use of colours and the methods adopted to bring such products to the market.

Solution
By employing clean typography and a strong but easy-on-the-eye colour scheme we created a simple, fresh and elegant look for the range. Clear, easy to read branding and instructions, in both english and arabic, added a regional association that isn’t present with some globally traded corporate brands.
A subtle blend of blue and green was used to reflect the nature of the brand and its products, evoking a soothing effect on the consumer but with enough visual impact to differentiate it from competitors and attract customers’ attention.
