Launch of Zurich’s Advisor Suite

Background

The adviser suite is an iPad-friendly innovation that enables financial advisers to submit and save policy quote requests online, while keeping up to date with live information on the latest product offers and underwriting guidelines from Zurich. Featuring a simplified, firstto- market quote & apply system and a range of professional tools, it helps advisers understand customer needs and provide more structured financial solutions.

The project brief involved creating a TV commercial announcing the suite’s arrival, and conducting event management, venue branding and installations for the launch event held at jw marriott marquis, dubai. We also provided event audiovisual supplies, stills photography, videography and produced a ‘making of’ case study video for internal use. The commission included other activities like conducting a promotional campaign for the product launch in the local press, and producing online banners for Zurich’s corporate site to raise awareness of the new initiative among advisers.

Challenge

Tasked with facilitating aspects of the advisor suite’s launch for Zurich’s Middle East and Africa regions, our main challenge was to bring into focus the suite’s key selling points, tools and features, to quite a disparate audience made up of advisors who form the primary users, and secondary audiences like clients and staff members.

In short, we had to convey a lot of information in a very limited timeframe that engaged several different groups of stakeholders.

Solution

The key to conveying advisor suite’s essence to a mixed audience in a short tv commercial involved getting the right context. We considered several time-sensitive scenarios – car wash, shopping mall, golf course – before eventually settling on an elevator ride. Our reinterpretation of the classic ‘elevator pitch’ emphasized the speedy, on-the-go nature of the new online tool, it’s ease of use and fast turnaround of the paperless process.

We used the elevator idea to carry the concept forward to the live launch event, too, rebuilding the whole structure as a prop for the stage backdrop. This both reinforced the commercial’s message, and also provided a grand entrance to the event when senior management emerged from the elevator’s opening doors.
